This snapshot sent to the Los Angeles Daily News by e-mail shows German Alex Romero of Reseda, left, and Francisco Rodriguez of Winnetka. The two best friends both played soccer in high school, German for Chatsworth High and Francisco for El Camino. German was killed by a hit-and-run driver while riding his bicycle April 20, 2011 in Canoga Park. Francisco was shot to death on Jan. 11, 2012 outside his home.
