Gov. Schwarzenegger Signs Water Bill

Gov. Schwarzenegger held a press conference where he signed SBX7 6 and SBX7 8, by Senate President pro Tem Darrell Steinberg (D-Sacramento), pieces of a historic legislative package to reform and rebuild California's water system.
On October 11, Governor Schwarzenegger issued a proclamation calling for the legislature to meet in an extraordinary session to address California's water crisis, urging the passage of legislation on the many issues facing the state's water system. On Wednesday, the legislature passed a historic comprehensive water package and the Governor issued a statement applauding their actions.
